Information systems quality assurance analyst

Location: Scarborough, ON M1P 4Y1

Salary: $44.25 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans based on system requirements and specifications.
• Define test objectives, strategies, and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression tests to validate system behavior.
• Identify defects, document issues, and work with developers to resolve them.
• Develop and implement automated testing scripts to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Execute and maintain automated test suites.
• Conduct performance testing to assess system scalability, responsiveness, and stability.
• Analyze and optimize system performance based on test results.
• Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Create detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand system architecture and functionality.
• Provide training to team members on testing methodologies and tools.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
• Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven experience as a Quality analyst or related profession for 2-3 years.
