Electrical Mechanic

We are currently searching for one Electrical Mechanic.

Duties:

• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
• Troubleshoot  and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment
• Use machine tools to fabricate or reconditions parts
• Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components
• Wind, assemble and install various types of coils
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Perform  some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts
• Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear

 

You will be required to train apprentices.

• Electric motors
• Transformers
• Rotors
• Coils
• Generators
• Switches

 

 

Requirements:

Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in electrical mechanics 

 

Work setting:

Maintenance, Repair, Testing and Service

 

Work conditions and physical capabilities

Handling heavy loads, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Ability to distinguish between colours, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload

 

 

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40.00 hours per week

Should be available to work a variable work schedule.

 

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm

English

 

 

Salary:

From $ 30.00  to $ 33.00 per hour  depending on your work experience
