We are hiring two farm workers - livestock at woodstock ontario
Languages:English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Work site environment
Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feed lots, Livestock combination farming
Dusty, Noisy, Farm ( cow dung and Urine) Odours, Wet/damp, Dairy, All weather conditions
Work setting
Rural area, Staff accommodation provided, Relocation costs not covered by employer
Responsibilities
Diagnose livestock health issues, Handling animals
Perform animal grooming activities, Perform livestock feeding
Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly
Feed and tend animals, Milk cows
Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
Maintain work records and logs
Perform general farm duties
Write daily basic progress reports
Supervision
1 to 2 people
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
First Aid Certificate
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
Milking system (automated), Hand tools
Manure handling and storage
Area of specialization
Dairy cattle
