Immigration Management ‘Si-Won’ is a consulting agency providing services in education, marketing, immigration, recruiting, and accounting. Currently, we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team.
Position: Payroll Administrator
Wage: $34.62-$35.62 per hour (Depending on working experience)
Working hours: 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay + Five Paid Sick days per year
Work Location: #300 – 1111 Melville Street, Vancouver BC V6E 3V6
Duties:

Generate and validate employee statements of earnings, detailing gross and net pay, deductions for taxes, garnishments, and insurance or pension plans;

Manage and update employee records, including attendance, leave, and overtime, to ensure accurate calculation of salaries and benefit entitlements using manual or computerized systems;

Complete and verify documentation for benefit administration, such as pension plans, medical and employment insurance coverage, leave applications, and other employment-related entitlements;

Prepare payroll filings and supporting documentation, including year-end tax statements, pension reports, Records of Employment, and other required documents.

Prepare, verify and process payroll-related payments, including regular wages, benefit disbursements, bonuses, and vacation pay, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;

Compile, analyze, and monitor reports, summaries, and statements related to pay and benefits accounts to ensure data integrity.

Reconcile payroll transactions with bank statements, prepare and balance periodic financial reports, and identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Provide guidance to employees on payroll-related inquiries, benefit plans, collective agreements, and compensation policies.
Qualification:

Completion of secondary school is usually required;

Completion of college or other courses in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll administration or experience in payroll administration is usually required;

Payroll association certification is an asset but not mandatory;

Experience using a payroll system or software is an asset but not mandatory;

Detail oriented and excellent organization skills;

Working knowledge of English.
