Industrial Painter Supervisor

Coastal Steel Construction Limited is a leading manufacturer, distributor of custom structural steel fabrication. Coastal specializes in active and energetic workplace. We offer a wide range of services including steel fabrication, product sales and installation services.

This full time position requires someone with previous years of industrial painting experience, and has worked in the structural steel industry. In this demanding role, you will be an integral part of our shop team. This is a great opportunity to make significant contributions to our company and grow professionally with the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide the activities of the painting team

• Read and understand engineered drawings, plans and blueprints

• Familiar with different paint products, mixing, thinning and application processes

• Organizing daily schedules with multiple sprays per shift

• Keep projects on schedule with advanced planning

• Tracking supplies and materials needed 

• Train and supervise the work of apprentice hires

Qualifications: 

• 5 or more years industrial spray painting 

• Experience working in the structural steel industry

• Physically fit and able to frequently lift in excess of 50 pounds

Salary: $36.00 / hour

Job Type: Full-time permanent, 32  hours per week 

Language: At least intermediate English is required.
