2. Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified Floor Covering Installer to join our team in Scarborough, Ontario. This is a full time, permanent position that requires on site work. We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from CAD $36.00 to CAD $38.00, depending on experience and qualifications. The position requires 30 hours of work per week and is available to start as soon as possible. 3. Qualifications and Eligibility

Candidates must be able to communicate in English and must hold at least a secondary school graduation certificate. We expect candidates to have between one year and less than two years of relevant work experience in floor covering installation or a closely related field. We accept applications from Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and temporary residents of Canada who hold a valid work permit. Candidates who are not authorized to work in Canada should not apply, as we will not respond to applications from individuals without valid work authorization.

4. Job Duties

The successful candidate will perform a range of flooring installation tasks as part of our installation team. The work includes:

- Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered

- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements

- Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding

- Prepare flooring plans and scheduling

- Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors

- Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings

- Prepare and install hardwood floors

- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings

- Prepare floors for installations

- Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

- Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces

- Perform direct glue-down carpet installations

- Perform double-bond carpet installations

- Install outdoor carpets

- Install resilient stair components (special effects for the visually impaired)
