Salary: $17.50 to $ 20.00 /Hourly on 40 hours/week work schedule

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry operations, strong communication skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and customer service within a dynamic team setting. 

Job Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter
• Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and recipes
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen stations, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Qualifications and skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling
• procedures
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or kitchen operations is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment as needed
