Redberry Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process prescription information under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systems accurately.
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labeling medications.
  • Maintain accurate prescription records and patient files.
  • Receive, stock, and organize medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and medications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area.
  • Assist customers by responding to inquiries and directing them to the pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
  • Schedule appointments for pharmacy services as required.
  • Answer telephone calls and perform general reception duties.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform other related administrative and pharmacy support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school.
  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program or related healthcare training is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, retail, or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
