We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will assist kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.

Job Duties:

• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients.
• Prepare simple food items according to kitchen procedures and instructions.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing food supplies and kitchen inventory.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, workstations, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation and storage areas.
• Remove garbage and recycling from kitchen areas.
• Assist in maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Support cooks and other restaurant staff during busy service periods.
• Perform other related kitchen support duties as required.

Employment Requirements:

• No formal education requirement.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
